The Attenuo wallet originated in 2016 after a trip to Bali. I lost my traditional bi-fold wallet and as a temporary solution used an elastic band to secure my remaining cards and notes together. It made me completely rethink what you need from a wallet. The temptation to horde receipts was no longer there. Clutter was by necessity instantly removed. The result was carrying only what you needed, which turns out, isn’t a whole lot.
On my return to the UK I began designing a wallet to suit my needs, based on these principle of carrying only what you need. I turned a sketch into a 3D model, and eventually into a 3D printed prototype. Having a background in mechanical engineering meant I naturally gravitated towards metal parts and CNC machining. Aluminium was the perfect material. After many months of talking with manufacturers I finally had a sample that was what I had wanted. I high quality CNC machined wallet that felt slim, light and robust.
Would this wallet suit me?
If you already use similar products such as a cash clip, card wallet, credit card holder or minimal wallets and don't have much use for coins in your life, then this product is for you.
If you still use typical bi-fold/tri-fold style leather wallets, then making the switch to a minimalist wallet for daily use is personal preference. If you rely heavily on paying with cash and coins, then perhaps this product isn't right for you.
If you are looking for something for occasional use with suit jackets/formal wear where a bulky wallet and coins are unsightly and unnecessary, then this is perfect for you.
Does it hold cash?
The Attenuo wallet is able to hold notes and cards, but not coins.
What is it made from?
Aircraft Grade 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy
How much does it weigh?
17 grams - less than two £1 coins
How is it made?
Each wallet is precision machined from a solid block of aluminium. The wallets are finished by anodising, which locks dye into the aluminum and protects it with a hard oxidised coating.
Which pocket do I use?
The wallet can be used in any pocket. We recommend carrying in your front pocket because your back pocket is an easy target for pickpockets. It’s also perfect for suit jacket pockets.
How big is it?
Approx 89mm x 58mm x 12mm. Typical bi and tri-fold wallets are double the thickness.
How many card can it hold?
6 embossed cards or 8 flat cards. So depending on what combination of cards you have, at a minimum it will hold 6.
Delivery is free within the UK. Delivery typically takes 3-5 working days.
